Abstract Artwork Gallery

It took me many years to understand that abstract art is valid for me. After viewing a Richard Diebenkorn exhibit at the SF Museum of Modern Art, I seemed to have a better understanding of what it could be about: paint, texture, composition - the tools of art itself. So, I took myself away to a Bed and Breakfast place in Pt. Reyes Station for three days with a bunch of watercolor paper, paints, brushes and books of other abstract artists, and began creating abstracts, with a new sense of freedom, ease, and adventure that was most refreshing. That was in 2000, and I come back to creating abstracts as a way of countering the tightness and control that go into so many of my commercial pieces.
