This short article on the inspiration and the creation of the Blue Heron series came out of me so easily, it seems to have written itself. In short, it explains how I first was inspired by this bird, then reminded about that instance 20 years later, and how the recent series has progressed.

While I don’t normally show a work in progress, in this case, I think it’s fun to see how this series is developing……it’s a complex pattern of overlapping and transluscent blue herons, against a starry, cosmic sky, a vision in blue/indigo/purple
